Yay! Our closing went well today. The documents are all signed and everything is ready to close on our new home on Tuesday. We should have the money by Monday so we can make it all happen next week. I’m so excited…I can’t wait to have everyone come down and visit us in our new place. Love to all! More updates later…

I just got a call from Shaun (Real Estate Agent/Buyer of our House) and he wants to move the closing on the sell up to tomorrow! Yay! I told him that would be fine and he is looking at moving up the purchase closing too. It will be nice to have this all done. If everything is moved up then I’ll definitely have a couple days to paint and we’ll be moved in over the weekend of the 7th and 8th….Whoohoo!

Or something like that.
Last night, I made a delicious Cashew Chicken Salad on Croissant for dinner. I’ve been so tired of the same old thing over and over, so we were trying something new. I loved this new recipe. I made a special batch for Scott though, without the nuts, because I know he doesn’t like them. He really liked it too, and he wanted seconds, but there wasn’t any “nut-less” mixture left, so he made up a sandwich with the cashews and decided to try it. Well, who knew he was allergic to nuts! He was violently ill the rest of the evening. Luckily, we had Benedryl on hand and he started feeling better by morning.
So, I guess I’ll file that recipe under the ever growing “Things I Like but Scott Can’t or Won’t Eat” category, otherwise known as my lunch menu.
In other news, we got the Home Inspection report back and the house passed with flying colors….so I guess we bought a lot of peace of mind & a 10 page report in a 1″ binder…and now we’ll know that if it breaks, we probably did it ourselves.
Well, I better go…I’m sounding kind of smart-allecky and I was going for witty. Oh, well…Love to all.

I went out to the house today with the Home Inspector. It was nice to go over every bit of the building and systems with him. I learned a little bit about some things I never would have thought to ask if I had not been there. Everything was in good order and he was very complimentary about the plumbing and electrical sub-contractors who worked on our home. There were a few small things that we talked about and he gave us some good ideas about what to do to take care of it, but for the most part….all’s well.
It is raining here, again. I’m glad but I am also ready for some warming up…they’ve just started some major road construction on the road to our new home and all the water is making for a muddy trail. My van is covered and that is just from one trip through. Hopefully, by the move, the dirt will all be dried out again.
The air conditioning is fixed at the school, but since it is a stormy day…now, it’s almost too cold. I guess there just no pleasing some people.
Well, not much to say other than the Inspection update. Love to everyone…talk again soon.

My favorite thing to do as a kids was to build stadiums out of legos. I guess I was not the only one. Click here

I’m sitting in my computer lab at the school, where it’s about 83 degrees. The air conditioning is not working and even though it is a pretty nice day outside, it’s a heat wave in here. One good thing is it puts the kids all in quite a mellow mood. I am about to fall asleep, though, so I’m sure their brains are pretty mushy too.
Hard to believe it is the last week in March. Time has been passing pretty slowly with all the anticipation of the new house…but only 7 days to closing. 10 until everything is official. We can’t wait. We are hoping to be mostly moved in over the weekend of the 7th & 8th….and completely moved in by Easter. (I’m sure I’ve said this all before but it’s all I think about these days, so you all have to suffer with me.) We’ve all been pretty stressed out, so it will be nice to have it all done.
In other news, Shaylie won her first soccer game on Saturday…Taylor won another one. It’s really fun to watch the younger kids play. Shaylie was finally getting some kicks in, but unfortunately, that meant she was in the line of fire too and we had a few more tears than usual. But she stuck it out and did a great job. Taylor was goalie during the shoot out for her game. She made an awesome save, and stood ready even though one scored and the other shots never came close. Then our girls scored two to win. Yay Eagles and Saturns!
Both girls are doing very well in school these days. Shaylie is reading at level 4 and Taylor has been coming home and doing her homework right off the bat after school, which is saving us some grief. They are both awesome girls! I’m very proud of them.
Well. Almost time for school to be out. Gotta go before I melt. Love to everyone…hope to hear from you or see you soon!

The parts arrived for our car and van tonight and I put on the new side view mirror on the Toyota and changed the passenger side tail light on the Voyager. I’m glad that the parts of the cars that were damaged were replacable. So everything is back to normal with the cars.

It’s another rainy day here in St George…I think Taylor went to school in shorts today, though…we are all in denial. It should be warming up to the 70′s by the weekend, Yay!
I guess no news is good news for our house…we haven’t heard from anyone since the day I went over to the ERA agency. I’m not entirely sure what I need to be doing. I’m going to have to track someone down again. We haven’t even started packing yet; mostly because I don’t think it has sunk in yet.
The girls are glad to be back in school. I’m not. I’m tired of marking my afternoons in 30 second increments….it really drags that way. I’ve been trying to think of ways to make Keyboarding more fun, but I’m short on ideas and patience. Only 49 more days of school, I think….can’t wait.
I went to the Dentist today and they adjusted my bite. It feels a little better already, so I hope that was the problem (I’ve been having horrible tooth/jawache). If not, he says we may have to do some more invasive procedures to deaden nerves or something. Joy.
Another update again soon! Love to all!
